The pivot point on any barrow is the wheel. This is the crucial factor for loading a barrow to create good balance and managing weight. On Shimano barrows, we have designed storage of all types of bedchair in front of the pivot point to ultimately reduce the weight in hand. This simple but revolutionary design vastly improves performance. The downward force in front of the pivot point is countered with a upward force at the handle position of the barrow, that creates a barrow that wants to move forward unassisted and reduces the effort exerted to move forward, making long distances, steep hills, uneven and soft ground much easier to travel over with heavy loads.
